Homeschooling ADHD students is a great option for kids who need individualized education in an environment that offers more flexibility than a traditional classroom. Here are a few of our favorite mom-approved fidgets to help kids stay focused or minimize stimming during lessons.
Chair Bands
Put these large rubber bands on the legs of your dining room chairs or your child’s desk! The perfect way to keep feet moving while still staying seated.
Sensory Slugs
These sensory slug toys are my daughter’s personal favorite. The movement is soothing, and kids can choose their favorite colors. Be forewarned, they are not silent – so if you have other students who are sensitive to noise, these might be best used in another room.
Liquid Bubble Timer for Stress & Anxiety
These are perfect for kids who enjoy the help of visual stimming! The liquid bubbles are soothing and help calm down stress and anxiety. They also work well as a timer!
Quiet Fidget Finger Rings
The name says it all! Not only are they quiet, but their small size keeps them from turning into a disctraction for ADHD, OCD, and ASD students.
Pop Fidgets
Pop fidgets have taken the world by storm! There are many shapes and sizes to choose from. My 8th grader prefers this one that doubles as a multiplication chart.
Sensory Toy Variety Pack
